90% of Philips’ 2019 Displays To Come With HDR10+, Dolby Vision

HDR formats have always been restricted to the most advanced TVs, but Philips has announced that 90 percent of its entire 2019 TV range will support HDR10+ and Dolby Vision combined.

While the new OLED 804or OLED 854 gets the full HDR formats, you need only buy a 6000-series TV to get the same now. Pricing hasn’t yet been announced, but be rest assured that the 2019 6000-series (6704 and 6754) will be available at sizes starting at 43in, 50in, 55in, 65in and 70in.

You will likely be able to buy a Philips TV that supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for under £500.

Dolby and Samsung have both said that Dolby Vision and HDR10+ will benefit mid-range screens much more than flagship sets.
