2017 saw the launch of Exposure Electronics XM series of hi-fi components, which included a phono stage, integrated amplifier, preamplifier, mono power amps and a headphone amp. As per the request of their customers, Exposure electronics launched a CD player.
The Exposure XM can be used as a CD player, or as a CD transport connected to a preamp or integrated amp all because of its (24-bit) DAC and digital coaxial and optical outputs.
What that means is that the user doesn’t have to put their CDs into a slot loader or slide-out tray. Instead, they can now place them on the top-loading mechanism that sports a sliding lid and a magnetic clamp.
Exposure has built it’s CD player to have great sound quality for it’s design, which includes a crystal clock reference and dedicated power supply regulator for the transport and audio stages, ensuring low jitter performance.
It has a large toroidal power transformer for a CD transport, and the all-aluminium casework and extruded front panel controls the unwanted resonance. The CD display can be controlled by the supplied remote control, too.
The Exposure XM CD player is available now in black or titanium finishes, costs £1200 and has a 3 year warranty.
