The TD1.2 takes the legacy of the well-acclaimed C1.2 and D1.1 and lifts the “sound reproduction to a whole new level”.
The new speaker might share the aesthetics of the D-series, but everything inside the enclosure is new.
The new standmount speaker boasts a fresh in-house developed mid/woofer-driver, with a new and very unique design of both the magnet system but also the rest of the unit.
The chassis is designed to have a minimum of influence on the airflow and seek to eliminate reflections occurring inside the enclosure. Additionally, the new design results in a record-low distortion, according to the brand.
The driver is the all-new 5-layer tantalum/diamond-cone which also features an increased level of internal damping in combination with a new, proprietary edge-wound titanium voice-coil. Joining the unique driver-design is the strongest underhung motor-design on the market (1.1 Tesla/Patent Pending).
The TD1.2 also incorporates Raidho’s redesigned ribbon tweeter, as used in both the TD4.8 and TD4.2. Thanks to a more powerful magnet system and the optimised acoustic shape of the rear chamber, the result is a much higher resolution and a distortion level that has been reduced with 35 dB compared to the already extremely low levels of the original tweeter.
Finally, the TD1.2 also features a completely redesigned crossover with a focus on correct phase-response at all frequencies while maintaining the optimal impulse-response.
Recommended retail price for Glossy black is 20,500 euros and 22,900 euros for Walnut burl or custom colours.
