The Liberty DAC II is Mytek’s most affordable DAC headphone amplifier and proudly proclaims it “Designed in New York”. The Mytek Liberty DAC II received quite comprehensive characteristics, working out 32-bit PCM at frequencies up to 768kHz, as well as native DSD up to DSD512 and DXD.

Called the little brother of the Brooklyn DAC, the Liberty DAC II is powered by an ES9038 chipset coupled with a 10 ps clock. As a result, the device is promised a signal-to-noise ratio of no worse than 127dB.

Fans of advanced Internet audio services will appreciate the built-in certified hardware MQA Hi-Res decoder. The Liberty DAC II accepts a digital signal on USB2 and AES/EBU interfaces, supplemented by an S/PDIF pair and a Toslink/ADAT pair. The Mytek Liberty DAC II accepts updates via USB. Analog outputs are available in RCA unbalanced and XLR balanced versions.

In addition, the Liberty DAC II offers a reference, according to the manufacturer, a high-current headphone amplifier, ready to put out up to 3 W per channel at its own output impedance of 0.1 Ohm. All this is assembled in a case of 140x225x44 mm and weighs 2 kg.

In the US, the Mytek Liberty DAC II headphone DAC will cost $1,300.
